So...not our usual cup of tea but todays artical come out of a Q&A session with a nutural body builder named Joe Donnelly.  It was in this months issue of Fitness Rx Magazine.  If this doesn't morally beat you into submission about your mindset and training... not really sure what will.  Happy rest day!

Question: What keeps you motivated?  Some people set their alarm for 6:00 am with a plan of getting up early and heading for the gym, but when the alarm goes off they hit the snooze button and end up sleeping through their workout.

Joe: I have intense internal motivation that sometimes works against me, or so I’ve been told.  We are all blessed. Blessed to be healthy enough to work a job, go to school or be active each day. I have seen what those who are less fortunate go through. The pain and suffering they endure. Children who will not see their next birthday, and would give all they have just to go outside and play for an hour. Soldiers my brother fought with in Afghanistan who were injured in battle and cannot play with their kids. So yeah, pretty easy to get my ass out of bed each day and be extremely thankful for all I am blessed with. If someone lacks motivation and takes for granted that they have an opportunity to build a healthier and subsequently happier life each day, then they ought to be ashamed of themselves. They can come pay a visit with me to some of my brother’s friends who were crippled in war.  Let them explain how they have a tough time getting out of bed in the morning to work out.
